Sea Devils Sweep Davidson-Davie Behind Anderson’s Career Night
Wilmington, NC - Cape Fear Community College volleyball put on a dominant performance Saturday afternoon, sweeping Davidson-Davie Community College 3–0 (25–14, 25–19, 25–13) at home.
The Sea Devils were efficient and balanced on offense, hitting .351 as a team while limiting the Storm to a -.010 percentage. Leading the charge was Emma Anderson, who delivered a career-high 17 kills on .484 hitting, along with 8 digs and 3 service aces for a match-best 21 points.
Cape Fear's setting tandem of Marin Diana (21 assists, 3 digs) and Liberty Ipsen (17 assists, 6 digs, 3 aces) orchestrated the attack, while Quinn Meiser anchored the defense with a match-high 21 digs. Rose Eklund added 8 kills and 14 digs, and Laci Bitterman was sharp at the net with 7 kills on .429 hitting.
From the service line, the Sea Devils applied steady pressure, finishing with 8 aces. At the net, they controlled play with 14 total blocks (2 solo, 12 assists), turning long rallies into momentum swings.
