Donovan Advances to National Tournament

Cocoa, FL – Cape Fear Community College golfer David Donovan garnered Region 10 Player of the Year for the second season in a row, becoming the first ever Sea Devil to achieve such a feat.  Donovan fired a 71 on the final day to earn an individual spot in the NJCAA National Tournament in Newton, Kansas.  His 222, three day score was good enough to finish tied for 6^th place.  The top six teams and top 10 individuals, qualify for this prestigious tournament.  The Sea Devils team placed 11^th, thus ending their season and hopes of their sixth straight National Tournament appearance. 

Freshman Tommy Raddin carded a 233, while fellow freshman Spencer Peterson and Zach Oplinger both netted a 245.  Tyler Morgan rounded out the Sea Devil scoring with a three day total of 252.  For all detailed tournament results please visit golfstat.com.
