Rocky Mount, N.C. - With the football awards season coming to a close, North Carolina Wesleyan is pleased to announce that sophomore linebacker Tazmon Foster has been named a Second Team All-American by BSN (Beyond Sports Network). Foster, who also garnered Second Team All-South Region accolades by D3Football.com, recently completed one of the most impressive defensive seasons in Blue & Gold football history.
Foster, a Henderson, N.C. native, compiled a program-record 129 total tackles this past season and led all USA South linebackers with 16.5 tackles-for-loss and five sacks en route to being named the league's Defensive Player of the Year. Foster's amassed 73 solo tackles and 56 assisted takedowns, while adding one interception, one pass break-up, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Additionally, Foster broke Wesleyan's career record for tackles in the Bishops' season finale. He currently boasts 227 takedowns over his two-year career.
