Bio
Spencer Goodman has served as an assistant coach with the Sea Devil’s Men’s Soccer program since 2020. Goodman, a Cape Fear alumnus, brings a wide variety of playing experience to the coaching staff with expertise in 3 college programs throughout his collegiate career. A senior at UNCW studying Education and Health Foundations, Goodman recently began playing at a semi-professional level with Wilmington Football Club in the inaugural season of the first flight league.

Goodman started coaching in 2018 at the high school level with local high school North Brunswick in Leland, North Carolina. Goodman’s role as JV head coach and an assistant coach for the Varsity team gave him confidence and joy in coaching, and he is very excited to help the coaches and the players develop further. Goodman started his college career in 2016 red shirting at Barton College in Wilson, NC. He then transferred and walked onto the Men’s Soccer team at Wake Tech Community College
in 2017. Goodman then transferred to Cape Fear Community College in 2018. He also has experience with the UNCW Men’s Club soccer program and Wilmington FC in the First Flight League. Goodman enjoyed a successful JUCO career here in region ten across two
programs, starting a total of 21 games. 

Goodman earned his associate degree in Arts from Cape Fear Community College in 2018. He is looking to complete his four-year degree at UNCW in 2021.
