Men's Basketball Earns Road Win
Cape Fear Community College turned in its most complete performance of the season Saturday afternoon, earning a 75–63 road win over Richard Bland College.
The game was competitive early, with both teams trading baskets through the opening minutes. As the first half progressed, the Sea Devils began to take control on both ends, building a double-digit lead before halftime and carrying a 32–27 advantage into the break. "Our execution was really good," head coach Mark Lane said, praising his team's discipline and composure.
Cape Fear carried that consistency into the second half, defending, rebounding, and making timely plays. Consecutive stops late in the game pushed the lead back to double digits, and the Sea Devils calmly closed it out at the free-throw line.
"This was by far our most complete team win of the season," head coach Mark Lane said, pointing to the team's execution and discipline throughout the afternoon.
Jacob Daniels led Cape Fear with 16 points off the bench, while JJ Moore added 15 points and six assists. Jonathan White finished with 13 points and four steals, as five Sea Devils scored in double figures.
The win moves Cape Fear to 7–4 overall and 1–1 in Region 10 play. The Sea Devils return to action Saturday, January 17, when they travel to face Caldwell Tech.
