Bolivia, NC - Cape Fear volleyball won both matches Saturday, defeating Richard Bland College and Bryant & Stratton College by scores of 3-0.
The Sea Devils (14-0, 9-0) faced the Statesmen of Richard Bland (1-12, 0-0) first. It went rather smoothly, as they won the sets 25-11, 25-13, and 25-12.
Cape Fear faced a little more competition in the second match against the Bobcats of Bryant & Stratton (5-12, 3-7) but still managed to sweep in three sets by scores of 25-17, 25-20, and 25-17.
With two more wins today, this is the best start Cape Fear Community College has had under head coach Emily Coleman. She is excited that her team continues to perform.
"I'm very excited about how we are rolling along...We're in a nice groove, and it's nice to be a part of a team that just plays. They stay poised when they get down and they push when they're up on teams."
The team is off for a few days before returning to action next Friday, October 6th, where they face off against Owens Community College on the road at 3:00 p.m. The match is the first of four for the Sea Devils that weekend, as they participate in the Catawba Valley Tournament in Hickory, North Carolina.
