Sea Devils Off To Great Start
Season looks to be impressive across the board

Wilmington, NC - The men's soccer team has started the season off 6-1, and 3-0 in conference play. The Sea Devils are led in scoring by Sophomore Vieux Sarr, while the midfield is anchored by Kimball Webster and Tyler Sosa. Cape Fear has scored 21 goals on the season only giving 8 in return. The Sea Devils currently sit atop the Region X standings along with #10 nationally ranked Louisburg College. Cape Fear is back in action tomorrow as they head to Raleigh, NC for a conference tilt with Wake Tech Community College.

The women's soccer team has torched opponents throughout the early season. The Lady Sea Devils are also 6-1, and 2-0 in conference play. Sophomore Ashli Flowers and Freshman Rebekah Hellberg lead a balanced scoring attack for the Sea Devils, recording 6 and 5 goals on the season respectively. Goal Keepers Karissa Kimrey, Margaret Wyatt, and Alexis Canady have blanked the completion this season notching 4 shutouts thus far. CFCC sits alone at the top of the Region X standings. The Lady Sea Devils hit the road tomorrow as they challenge USC Lancaster.

The volleyball team, under direction of first season head Coach Jeanne Lambert, has returned to dominate form. The Lady Sea Devils are currently 9-1, and 3-0 in conference play. Sophomore Sarah Bower leads a balanced attack while freshman Amanda Blazewicz controls the net for the Sea Devils. Cape Fear has dominated opponents in their 9 wins this season, winning 27 matches while only squandering 7. The Sea Devils look to avenge their only loss of the season this weekend as they take on the College of Southern Maryland in Greenville, NC.

It may be early in the season for the CFCC golf team but the fireworks have already begun. In their first tournament of the season the Sea Devils edged out NC Wesleyan to win the 5 team NCWC tournament. Cape Fear was paced by Colby Averitte's third place finish. This past weekend CFCC took to the links once again shooting 3 over par, good enough to finish 5th in a 10 team tournament. The Sea Devils are back in action again this Monday as they head to the Greensboro College Invitational.
