Lady Sea Devils Remain Perfect
Defeats USC Sumter 4-0
Wilmington, N.C. - The CFCC Women's Soccer team defeated USC Sumter Wednesday 4-0 improving their perfect record to 4 wins and 0 losses. Sophomore Ashli Flowers opened up the scoring in the 33rd minute off an assist from Annie Haywood. Becca Morris added a goal just before half-time by finishing a pass from Sasha Holeman. Morris struck again in the 53rd minute off another assist from Haywood. Haley Sandquist finished out the Sea Devils scoring with a goal in the 88th minute from an Audrey Niemeyer pass. The Sea Devils outshot the visiting Fire Ants 20 to 1. Margaret Wyatt and Karissa Kimrey split time in goal, registering the third shutout of the season. The Lady Sea Devils take to the road this weekend to Maryland for two games against District H opponents Harford CC and CCBC Essex. The team returns home Saturday, September 19th against conference rival Spartanburg Methodist. Start time is slated for 4:00 p.m. at the North Campus Soccer Facility.
