Lady Sea Devils Soccer Continue to Roll
CFCC Defeats CCBC Catonsville (Md.) 4-0
Wilmington, N.C. - The Lady Sea Devil Soccer team defeated CCBC Catonsville (Md.) this past weekend 4-0 to remain undefeated (3-0) in the 2009 season. Cape Fear struck early and often with 3 goals from Freshman Rebekah Hellberg in the first 16 minutes off assists by Marlina Kreiner, Casey Naylor, and Annie Haywood. Ashli Flowers continued her scoring ways with a goal in the 75th minute off another assist by Kreiner. CFCC outshot the visiting Cardinals 20 to 3. Margaret Wyatt and Karissa Kimrey shared time in goal for the second shutout of the year. The Sea Devils return home on Wednesday, September 9th as they play host to USC-Sumter. The contest is slated for 3pm at the North Campus Soccer Field.
